| Shared Note: - Darroll was baptized at the Hadley Federated Church on September 13, 1936. He was in the 4H Club. He was awarded a prize for the best essay in t he seventh grade. Darroll attended Hadley High School and transferr ed to Lapeer High School where he was senior class president, on the debat ing team, in the band, on the student council and associate editor of t he year book. He went on a senior class trip through several of th Gre at Lakes on the SS South America. He graduated from Lapeer High Scho ol as an honor student in 1941. He entered the University of Michig an in 1941 with a full tution scholarship (Michigan Undergraduate Scholars hip). He served in the United States Navy in World War II. Darroll marri ed Nina and they had three children. Darroll and Nina were divorced in 19 67. Darroll was general manager of Ude Loans, Inc. in Lapeer. He was o ne of the founders of Olivet Credit, Treasurer of the Kiwanis Clup for fif teen years, on the executive board of Troop 125 of the Boy Schouts of Amer ica, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member and past treasur er of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Lapeer Post Ameri can legion for twenty years. Darroll was killed in an automobile accide nt in Lapeer. He was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Lapeer, Michigan.
