he became a teacher and taught at the Gray School. She married Carlyle ‎(C
arl)‎ and they had four children. Florence worked several years in the Lap
eer Post Office. Carl was born in Lapeer, May 2, 1892 and died January 2
3, 1975. The first years of their marriage, Florence and Carl lived at Ot
ter Lake. Carl had an electric plant and provided Otter Lake and some oth
er towns with electricity. The family moved to Lapeer. Carl also beca
me noted for his slingshot. He made his own dies for the slingshots th
at were produced in a machine shop in his garage. They were sold throu
gh advertisements in sports and outdoor magazines.

Florence and Carl are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.
