aught in the Lapeer Public Schools. She taught for fifty years, and she w
as recognized as one of the community's great teachers. She was acti
ve in the Michigan Teacher's Association and was a charter member of the C
hild Study Club. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Ruth spent her summers in the family home at Hadley. She lived in Lape
er during the school year. She died in 1960 and is buried at Hadley.
