Emma was born march 17, 1883 at Hadley, Michigan.

Norton was a farmer and factory worker. He is reported to have attended t
he 1916 Hemingway reunion at his parents' home in Lapeer County.

He died in 1948 at Grand Rapids. Emma died January 17, 1955 at Grand Rapi
ds and was buried in Fairplains Cemetery.
