Rachel attended the University of Michigan in 1897 and 1898 and is sa
id to have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Music. She taught school at Ha
dley, Michigan and lived for many years in Hadley in the old family home.

She married Phillip and they had three children.

She moved to Illinois late in life to be with her family and she died at V
illa Park, Illinois in 1960.
