ng) in school. He was paralyzed for ten weeks, could not speak and for fi
ve weeks could not take food. The funeral service was held in the Bapti
st Church at Pontiac, at the usual hour of the Sunday morning service. T
he church was packed, many were unable to gain admission.

The teacher was brought to trial, and found guilty of assault and battery.
