da is listed in the 1880 census as a six year old girl living with her par
ents in Hadley, Michigan. She attended Hadley High School and graduat
ed in 1889. Later she attended the University of Michigan and graduated w
ith a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1900.

She married Manson and they lived in Yankton, South Dakota where he w
as a professor of Latin at Yankton College. Ada and Manson attended the 1
916 Hemingway reunion at Bullocks' home in Lapeer County, Michigan.

Ada was in the group photo taken when the Davenport School closed in 18
85 or 1886. Ada's husband, Manson, was born in 1847 and died in 1951. Mi
ss Grace Hemingway was a charter member of Eastern Star, Chapter 321 in Ha
dley in 1902. Ada was buried in the churchyard in Hadley, Michigan.
