Harold graduated from the Vermontville High School in 1895. He was the Ve
rmontville postmaster for six years. Harold and Nellie had four childre
n. In 1903 Harold and his wife moved to Charlotte, Michigan where he w
as in the grocery business with his wife's uncle. They moved to Battle Cr
eek, Michigan in 1907 where he was again in the grocery business. In 19
16 they moved to Pontiac, Michigan where Harold worked with the Burdette M
anufacturing Company. In 1922 Harold went to work at Burroughs Adding Mac
hine Company, where he was employed until his retirement in 1953. In 19
25 he moved his family to Detroit. Nellie was born March 21, 1878.
