s. They lived on the Bullock family farm in Elba Township, Lapeer Count
y. They added to the farm and had 250 acres at one time.

They had eight children. The family is listed in the 1880 census as livi
ng in Elba Township, Lapeer County, Michigan. The first four children a
re included.

Nellie and Carlos hosted the 1916 Hemingway reunion.

Carlos died March 4, 1931 at Goodrich, Michigan and was buried in the Hadl
ey Cemetery. Nellie died in 1954 at Rogers City and was buried beside Car
los at Hadley.

Nellie was small and pretty with blue eyes, pink cheeks and red-brown ha
ir as described in "Home Farm".
