Millard was an officer in Masonic Lodge 210 in 1883. The 1884 state cens
us shows him living with his parents in Hadley, Michigan. He was a partn
er with his father in J. H. Hemingway and Son, Dealers in Agriculteral Imp
lements. He operated in Lapeer and his father operated in Hadley. The 19
00 census lists him in Lapeer in the agricultural implement business.

The Lapeer County records show his death was a suicide.
