on School in 1868.

She married George in 1878 and they had twelve children.

She was the first woman to serve on the board of education in Saginaw, Mic
higan. She was a charter member of the Tuesday Study Club.

Her husband worked for the Pere Marquette Railroad and the family travel
ed with him to various sites. George was a member of Grand River Lodge #
34 F & A M ‎(Masons)‎.

George died in 1930 and Ella died while visiting her son in Californ
ia in 1943 and is buried with her husband in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Sagin
aw, Michigan.
