| Shared Note: - Betsy came to Michigan in 1824 with her parents. The family settled at Paint Creek (Goodison) where Betsy married David. The ceremony was perform ed by H. Higley.
Betsy attended school at Pontiac, Michigan. She united with the Oakland B aptist Church in the 1840s and was baptized in Paint Creek.
Betsy and David kept the first hotel at Orion. The family lived in Pontia c, Cheboygan, Chicago and Colorado Springs. All eight of their children w ere born in Orion, Michigan.
Betsy was a charter member of the Zebulon Pike Chapter of the Daughte rs of the American Revolution. Her national number was 8910.
Betsy was buried at Goodison, Michigan.
