Show Details Shared Note: - Henry moved to Michigan in 1824 with his parents. He married Lydia, daugh
ter of Cornelius Tower and Abigail Potter, in 1845. They moved to Marath
on Township, Lapeer County in 1849. They were the parents of nine childre
n.

Henry with his brother, Isaac, and his father, Needham, built a dam at Hem
ingway Lake in Marathon Township. They built a steam saw mill in 1865 a
nd were in the lumbering business until 1880. The mill was sold at that t
ime. Henry was Supervisor of Marathon Township in 1859, 1860, 1863, and 1
864. His grandson, Henry, held this office about one hundred years late
r. He built a large house on his farm and it is still owned by his descen
dants.

Henry was married again after Lydia's death, to Susan Adams Tower in 187
7. Henry, Lydia and Susan are buried in the Hollenbeck Cemetery.
