Ernest is listed in the 1880 census as a farmer. He owned and operated t
he Meadow Brook Farm near Otter Lake. He served as township drain commiss
ioner and school director. The family lived in Marathon Township. Erne
st retired and moved to Otter Lake.

Ann was born October 17, 1851 and died November 13, 1939. Ernest and A
nn are buried in the Otter Lake Cemetery.
